For a break away from busy life, visit Bespoke Inn, Cafe & Bicycles. Newly opened in 2013, this property has all the modern amenities you could hope for including wifi, and flat screen TV’s. Bespoke combines many of the amenities of a larger resort, with the quiet intimacy of a bed and breakfast. Located in the Arts District of Old Town Scottsdale, this luxurious, quaint hideaway has many treats for all of the senses. Not just a B&B, you might have to call this place a B,B&B for Bed, Breakfast, & Bicycles.

Bespoke is a word that means many things, but the Innkeepers hope you will take it to mean “to speak for something” or maybe just relate it to bicycle spokes. Bespoke is owned by husband and wife team Rob and Kate who enjoy traveling and cycling themselves, so they know what travelers want at every step along the way. That’s why you are given a glass of wine upon check-in, a nice quiet room to have your privacy, and should you venture out of your room, there’s a fireplace terrace, a balcony to enjoy the sunset from, and even a 43 foot long infinity pool. Of course, the most fun way to venture out is by borrowing one of the Inn’s Pashley City Bikes. Pashley Cycles is an English manufacturer and all of the bikes are hand built. It’s free to rent the bicycle, and if you’d like a bike guide, one can be arranged for an additional fee. If you fall in love with the cycles, you’re welcome to purchase one of your own. You’re also welcome to bring your own set of wheels, or have a custom bike made at the Bespoke Bicycles Shop. Here, all kinds of bicycles are created from simple one speed path bikes, to a steel road frame. Here, the wheels are still hand-laced and tensioned, yet the newest steel alloys are used in the frame of the bikes.

After a day of exploring the west’s most western town on your bicycle, you’re bound to be hungry. Step into the cozy Virtu Honest Craft restaurant. Chef Gio Osso has created some of the most interesting and tantalizing food imaginable. Start with some warm naan bread, ahi tuna tartare, or a baby kale salad. Move on to the main course with smoked duck or pork flat iron and make sure you save room for warm dark chocolate cake or foie gras bon bon’s. Along with an ample selection of red and white wines and beer, there are also hand crafted cocktails that equal the food. Try a Salsa Dancer with Corazon Blanco Tequila, Lime Juice, Cilantro, Agave Nectar, and Red Bell Pepper Foam. Maybe you’re in the mood for the Virtu Starter Kit made with Cocchi Vermouth di Torino, Plymouth Gin, Grapefruit Bitters, and Bitter Lemon soda. Whatever you’re in the mood for, be assured they can make it. Now what is a B,B&B without a gourmet breakfast? Each morning, join guests on the patio for a full breakfast complete with house made pastries.

Each of the four guest rooms at Bespoke has it’s own name and personality. Every room has chandelier lighting, a refrigerator, a 42” flat screen HD LCD TV, media ports, a ceiling fan, and private patio. The décor in each room is very different though. The Ralph and Maggie room has two queen beds in it’s 400 square feet. It features a soaking tub, a retro shower, and french doors that open onto the first floor patio and the garden area. The Leo and Isabelle has a king sized sleigh bed, ten foot ceilings, and french doors that open onto a private patio. The George and Anna room features a 19th century Campaign iron canopy king sized bed, french doors onto a small, private patio, and a curbless shower.

The Signature Room is the only room located on the second floor, and is the largest measuring 500 square feet. This room has ten foot ceilings, a king sized bed, and the french doors here open to a wrap around balcony with access to the fireplace lounge, infinity pool, and even the chef’s garden terrace. From your room, join other guests in the common areas or signature flat. Twinkling lights are strung between centuries old olive trees. Take a seat at the 12 foot housemade farm table, or just take in views of Camelback Mountain. Bespoke is pet friendly, and does not charge extra pet fees or have weight restrictions. Each pet feels like a king here with doggy treats, food and water bowls, and on a first come, first serve basis, a Louis Vuitton suitcase has been converted into a doggy bed for that very special pooch.

With all the foot traffic, you might expect that Bespoke is a green place to be. The chef brings some of the food you’ll be eating straight from their own organic herb and vegetable garden. There are water saving options for sheets and towels, automatic lights that turn off and on when sensing guests in the area, and more. All rooms are non-smoking, and covered parking is available. Bespoke Inn is so charming, it’s the perfect place for a wedding. Bespoke offers affordable wedding packages, and will do whatever they can to make your special day unforgettable and perfect. If you’re hosting a business meeting at Bespoke, they are more than happy to accommodate a meeting in their restaurant, courtyard, or on the Signature Flat. Gift certificates are available for purchase on the website, and it’s easy to book a room from the site too. So next time you’re in town, or just need a staycation, make sure that you reserve a room at Bespoke, and prepare to be catered to and have a whimsical bike ride too.
