Gainey Ranch Golf Club Scottsdale is named for it’s original owner Daniel C. Gainey. The property was once an Arabian horse ranch, but is now home to 27 spectacular holes of golf. Gainey Ranch is an exclusive private, invitation-only club boasting views of the McDowell Mountains, and clear blue skies. Even with the Sonoran desert nearby, the whole club is blanketed in lush, green, manicured lawns. Shade trees, tall palms, and water features with fountains are generously scattered throughout the courses with sand traps and bunkering as well.

Each of the three nine hole courses is distinctive with The Arroyo ending with a peninsular green on hole nine. The Lakes course features a number of water features including a waterfall hole, and The Dunes offers the most bunkering. All of the courses were designed by Michael Poellot, the former chief architect for Robert Trent Jones, Jr. It’s easy to play just one course for a short game, or play a full 18 holes by coupling The Lakes with The Dunes, or either of those courses with the longest, The Arroyo. Several amenities are available such as bag storage, fittings, locker rental, and lessons if you’d like to sharpen your skills. Men’s, Women’s, and Junior’s Leagues run year round here, and members may choose to play in tournaments. It’s a great way to meet other members and win some prizes! Families with kids of all ages are encouraged to play.
